For a stock restoration it's a bit overdone. (High gloss on the fenderwells ect.)

Nice trucks though. I wonder how many of those options made it onto that repo glovebox build sheet when the restoration was done.

I think it's a riot...no one is going to hit that "Buy It Now" button unless they are less intelligent than the seller. Plus I would never buy anything that had a redone option sheet for that much.

Maybe I would pay that if it was an original 113 mile and not a rebuild. Like some one stored it for 30 some odd years.

Okay it's way overpriced and overdone. But I like it and can appreciate the effort gone to locate and restore the options. I still say it's far more difficult to restore to that detail than it is to customize. But in the end it's all up to your preferences.

Biggest Turnoff: Chrome valve covers

To you guys responding to the truck. I am not the one selling the truck. I was the original one that built the truck. I went as far as the water sand and buff the frame and running gear. As for the chrome valve covers, that is factory. The only thing not factroy on that truck was the bucket seats. The fenders are new GM, so is the tailgate. We spent alot of time on the truck, but we did not put $60,0000 into it.

That is a great truck and a prime example of how to build one with everything done/replaced from top to bottom. If you had a custom shop build it and do all the work it would be expensive! And it is only money.

WOW trucks72, how long did it take you guys to build that truck and what condition was it in when you started? That is a damn fine truck.
Do you have any picks of it before you started and maybe some progress pics? I'm sure everybody would love to see them. I could use some ideas too. Thanks.

Do you guys think a frame off brings more money if it's back to original or if it's moving toward upgrades and a little rodding?
I'm doing a frame off and three months into is I have $8000 in the chassie and tones of hours. Every bolt will turn on it by the time I am finished. Maybe if I added a little spice (LA hot souce) to it I could set a buy it now for $65,000......what ya think..........any fools out there? It's really going to be a nice-un......best one I've every seen......buyer get a free 40cc scooter and turkey for next Thanksgiving.............oh......and of course I wil fill up the gas tank.

It also listed one of the options as factory rear wheel gravel guards, didn't all trucks have these under the bed?

Absolutely incredible. I also think $45k is a bit high, but I don't think I've ever seen a nicer resto. I've been drooling over bias plys since day 1. Someday....someday.....

it took us about a year to finish out the truck. We did not put the hubcaps on it. We had chrome car rallys on it and the guy we sold it to put the hubcaps on it. We traded that truck for a 66 chevelle. You can see it at www.thetruckshop.com. We do this for a living. We build trucks everyday then sell them. We go to shows all around the east coast. We have been doing it for over twenty years.
