I have a manual choke and 3 OTT.....would it otherwise have that "idle stop solenoid?

she idles perfectly. on cold morning I pull choke out to start but have to push it in right away to keep it running. Otherwise it starts easily all the time

It's also called an "anti-dieseling" solenoid, depending on application. Some of the '71 and up vehicles had this feature as part of the emissions equipment. Throttle open far enough to idle, and when powered off, the throttle return spring closes the throttle plate completely. For verification, does you truck still have an emissions/tuning sticker? If it came as OE, the sticker will list the idle RPM with the solenoid de/energized.

ETA- Looking at your truck's intro post, I'm pretty sure I'm right. I see the tuning sticker on the fan's finger guard, and the Transmission Controlled Spark relay is still on the firewall by the harness feed through.

I may be able to make the cruise this weekend, but only for a couple hours. Do you plan on being there?

Transmission Controlled Spark was used in that era to reduce emissions. It enabled vacuum advance only in high gear and above a planned temperature. Is there a solenoid inline with the vacuum advance hose from the carb to the distributor? If not, it has been bypassed. I don't see it in the pictures.
