1970 jimmy front leaf spring bushings

Order bushings for 1970 jimmy from brothers got 8 1 1/2 ones and 4 1 1/8.
Put 4 of the 1 1/2 in the front and the 4 1 1/8 in the frame. Have 4 1 1/2 that don't fit I the other spring bushing to big and the 1 1/8 is to small. They are all 3 different diameters. LMC truck shows that they are the same size as the ones in the frame.

Re: 1970 jimmy front leaf spring bushings

Hello, just crawled under my K1500 and it looks like they are all 1-1/2" bushings, but I have the HD front springs option so that may be the difference.

Edit I am incorrect the lower rear leaf eyelet looks to be a 1-1/8".

Re: 1970 jimmy front leaf spring bushings

You might want to check with Rockauto.com I just redid all of mine at the rear of my 70 C20. Also ordered new shackles as the bushing is not replaceable in this location. I cross checked rock auto with every other place I could find online to make sure I got the correct ones. A real pain to replace, watch a couple of utube videos for suggestions.

Did you press out the metal outer sleeves of the original bushings? If you are installing a polyurethane kit it says in the installation instructions to press them out.

Re: 1970 jimmy front leaf spring bushings

They gave me 8 1 1/2" ones going to turn them down to the size I need.
