Leaf Spring backing plates 72 4x4 k-10

HELP,
I have a 72 chevy k10 4x4 which the backing plates holding the rear end which the ubolts tie into broke in half.... they rusted and broke in half! Keep in mind these u bolts go around the leaf springs and not around the rear axle housing like many newer trucks.

Question, where can I get a set of replacements or is there a newer style that will be a direct replacement. LMC and other chevy truck parts dealers don't show them.

I can be contacted at cpeters@learfield.com

Thanks
Charlie Peters Owner of a 72 cheyenne C-20, a 72 cheyenne k-10 and my first car a 73 z-28 camaro.

If you want the new style www.offroaddesign.com sells a kit that convert our old style to the new style.

you talking about the cast iron retainer plates that sit underside of the axle tubes ? several ppl here are parting trucks that have these on them,

you could probably rob all parts off rear of a 73-up truck and convert to that style, the u bolts and steel plates that sit on top of the leaves

good luck
