Show Us Your Floor Mats

What are you using for over-the-carpet floor mats? It's time to buy some and there's little info out there on what works well for our trucks.

I know the earlier models with the gas pedal attached to the floor pan makes a difference, but the later models should be easy to fit with generic or cut-to-fit mats.

What's everyone using?

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

I would like to know if anyone has bought a full width version that covers the hump (small) ? I believe you can find plenty of single mats to pick from online. The full width ones used to be available but the center console bucket seat design has made them mostly obsolete...

ACC sells a one-piece mat in a variety of soft materials specifically for our trucks...

https://www.accmats.com/commerce/197...r%20Mat/14358/

I cannot vouch for the fit, but ACC does seem to have a good reputation. My carpet came from there and is fine.

I have a home-made partial console and need the two-piece set and would prefer the all rubber type construction.

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

I am using floor mats from a newer Chevy equinox. The newer factory carpeted floor mats from GM are nice. They are better than aftermarket ones like Lloyds.

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

71 Step, Not only are the mats nice...I love the red and gray interior...wow!

Well, I have bought the...

WeatherTech AVM Trim-to-Fit Floor Mats (11AVMOTHSB)

I wanted to go with the all rubber mats to contrast the floor carpeting. With price in mind and country of origin, these should work. I said "should" because they are in route and I don't have them yet. I'll post a review in a week or so. They come with a back seat single piece mat that may fit well in the bottom of the in-bed tool box. We'll see!

I looked at some others from WeatherTech, DeeZee, & Husky, but could not get past the boldness of their company logo on the mats or finding that the country of origin was not the USA or was not clear in their company data.

OER has a nice looking stock mat with good fitment reviews, but finding info (CoO, thickness, basic dims) on it was near impossible.

Stay tuned...

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

The WeatherTech AVM Trim-to-Fit Floor Mats (11AVMOTHSB) fit nicely without any trimming needed. I may choose to trim out the area under the gas pedal, but I have not driven the truck on the road yet to see if it is desired.

From the WeatherTech website - These mats measure...

Front mats:
5/8" thick
19" wide by 27" long
Can be trimmed to 16" wide by 24" long

1-Piece Over the Hump Rear mat:
5/8" thick
56" wide by 16" long
Can be trimmed to 52" wide by 14" long

Overall, I am happy with the fit and look. Here's some pics...

Cool Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

Don't have any yet but, I'd love to get a set of these reproduced. They went in the brand new Chevrolet cars back in 1970 and I'd assume some trucks had them too but, I'll have the correct dealer printed on them (Kerr Chevrolet from Hastings, Nebraska) that my truck was sold at new.

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

I know these are being reproduced, but I personally got these out of a '78 Caprice I was doing a PDI on. GM shipped two sets, I got this set. They have been in several cars & trucks since 1978. Darn good shape for their age. Way better shape then me.

Are those available somewhere? I have been trying to locate a one piece that would fit a high hump and I prefer rubber or vinyl type. I have scoured a pick-a-part hoping to locate on in a salvage truck, but no luck.

They are nos covers. Gm made them full length and have markings on the back where to cut them for single mats. My truck is a low hump. I'm not sure these would work on a high hump. Ebay is where I found these.

Re: Show Us Your Floor Mats

This side to side one was in my truck when I bought it and with just replacing the carpet plan to use it again while daily driving and have the ACC carpet ones for the truck when at Car Shows. The small ones I bought at a GoodGuys Show in 2005 and put a garbage bag over them and today is the first day I have looked at them since hung up in 2005.
