Re: Door Seal Opinions Please

I purchased the press on seals and they seem to be pretty nice. They need a little time to wear in.

Im in pre-fitting stage though but I have put them on and shut the door with the striker plate engaged. Tight but I think a little use and they will be ok

Re: Door Seal Opinions Please

If you have watched the C/28 1967 Truck build on YouTube? you may have notice where they used seals from a 2000 Silverado with good luck. No mods. Anyone tried them? I happen to have a Silverado also and was going to pull the seal and give it a try.

Re: Door Seal Opinions Please

I just purchased part # 17879061 from GMC Pauls and could not be happier. They are perfect. No slamming required. They indeed were redesigned to make them ultra pliable as to avoid slamming the door. Only $51 for the pair. I was about to try the Honda seals others recommend, glad i didn't. GMC Paul's service is outstanding and he is a forum member as well.

Re: Door Seal Opinions Please

Just got my push on seals from GMC Paul's. Went in easy and fit great. But now the door has to be slammed to close... Hoping they wear in quick.

Re: Door Seal Opinions Please

I just picked up a set of civic door seals at the pick n pull this morning. They replaced precision seals that have required door slamming for the last 3 years. The Honda seals fit perfectly without any cutting and my doors no longer require being slammed. I paid $12.00 for the pair.
