Well it's started....
The cancelations of big auto shows has started. Charlotte has canceled the Autofair again this year due to state restrictions for gatherings in the state. Per the Governor of NC.
Just talked with a good friend who has contacts in Charlotte that confirmed it. They said they would be updating the website today to inform everyone. Sad I have always looked forward to going. This crap is getting old.

Re: Well it's started....
Hopefully the events in summer will go forth. The only shows I went to were the Carlisle truck and fall meet. And the C10 nationals in TN .

Re: Well it's started....
I have a feeling the Hot Rod Power Tour 2021 may be dead. There's hasn't been a single peep or update from Hot Rod or Anthony Travel and it's mid February.
I can see drag week still happening as it's a limited group they allow.

I really hope my favorite truck show, Macungie PA, will happen this spring, father's day weekend. It's also their 50th anniversary. Not looking good though as per the new regime

Well it started last year. It's just still here. Hopefully we can start winding this sad story down and get back to it before we lose another year. I miss Macungie most of all.

Re: Well it's started....
Seams anything on public property in PA is not happening. I like Macungie used to go to the Das Awchst Fest every year and wheels of time . Was perfect parked the motorhome across the street in the VFW field . Hopefully the truck show will go . If it does I'll be in the VFW field with this minus the chevelle . I'll take a truck of course

I consider Macungie the season opener, last year I finally found a vintage cap for my 67 step side for camping in, my group rough it there, set up along the creek, bbq and BS all night, sleep in our trucks. Last fall, I was all set to go to the "Mack days" show at Gerharts equipment in Lititz PA, "private property". Never been but had to go to some show at least. Well.. stayed home instead and kick myself in the ass for not going, shame on me. There is great videos of the show online. Going this year for sure. |

Re: Well it's started....
As the shows get closer the cancelations will start happening, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Run to the Sun show here in SC in March!
This show kicks off our local season of shows.

Well the battle in Bama is not happening for me. I have been waiting on a e mail from them on my money I sent in last year. I've not herd back after 5 e mails so I made plans to go on a cruise with several of the guy's off the Bangshift forum I run with on the Power Tour. We are headed to Key West Florida that weekend. Have 20 vehicles so far going. I much rather drive than sit.
