What hats do you wear?

I’ve had this waxed Filson hat for over two decades and have worn it in deserts and tropical forests. It’s a great hat. Packs flat. Still made in USA.

They call those "railroad caps" out here in Montana. I have a solid dark gray one that I usually wear to town in the winter. The ear flaps aren't all that good so I usually wear a hooded jacket with it.

I've been trying to find one of those plaid "scotch" caps with the real nice ear flaps. Seems like lots of things are hard to find these days.

Agree the ear coverage isn’t great at all on the one shown above. Was thinking of getting one of the bomber style caps you mentioned above (in another Stormy Kromer design).

Yeah, something like that. The ones I used to see were a larger plaid and more squarish crown I think. My bomber hat is partly brown canvas from Cabela's a long time ago. It's my under +20F hat.

I've got this old blue sort of a lined baseball cap with earflaps and velcro under the chin. The velcro is wearing out and it is getting really scuzzy from years of working wear. But it was cold and I wore it to the bank today!

I have a hat for every occasion or mood. Heck I used to collect advertising caps and still have over twenty dozen unworn in boxes . The one I like the best is my GRAMPA hat.

Mostly ball caps. But I do have some others I wear, but not allowed here.

I’m into ball caps mostly. I look stupid in cowboy/brimmed hats. (it’s probably in my head)

I just got this JEGS hat this week for work. I buy a lot of performance stuff from them. The camo CAT hat is a favorite, as is Harvicks camo American flag hat. I have a thing for Camo. The black CAT hat is a cool one I got from one of Tyler Reddick’s engineers I know, when we were hanging out in the race hauler last year before covid hit. Got to meet Richard Childress and everything that day.

I wear baseball hats and fedoras...

The jegs hat is when I work on my truck...My wife made me wash it a few months ago and it isn't greasy looking anymore...I miss it! I also put in the before and after of that hat!! My kids made me take that pic, since they couldn't believe the difference.

The green fedora is from the 1940's I found in a vintage store, that was made for a clothier here in town...which I think is pretty cool.

The jegs hat I pictured above replaced the yellow one you’ve got. Mine looks like yours did before washing... I’ve retired 3 or 4 of the yellow hats now. I’ll keep this one around for a while. I wear these hats at work, they last a couple years or so normally.

I think I found my hat twin...before my hat got clean..and off the grease! I aspire to get it dirty again with my next build!

Yes sir twins indeed! I got a couple of them for free after spending X amount on a couple orders, when they were doing a promo several years ago. I think this is the last one. Not in too big of hurry to get rid of it.

None. I have a few baseball caps, mostly given to me by vendors or some commemorative occasion. It's so rare to see me wear anything one my head that it freaks people out. About a year ago, I was given a tool brand hat by one of our suppliers at work. I wore it (backward) for a couple of hours and the foreman walked by and said "you gotta lose the hat man, I just can't take it" LOL. We have worked together for nearly 17 years and he had never seen me with a hat on and backword by a longhaired gray hair just didn't work...
