No problem Lance. A Longhorn with 4-wheel disc brakes, that not something you see every day!!

Re: For those waiting on Camaro caliper brackets....

Interesting...I'll have to keep an eye on this. I also had no idea axles could be had for that cheaply...as a side note for anyone else with a '70, the axles are even cheaper ($100 each from Summit).

Now, if I can just find someone going from the '93-'97 LT1 rear brakes to the '98-'02 LS1 rear brakes, and a front big-brake kit to match

Cool!

When you say "loaded", you mean with brake pads, etc. What about the parking brake bracket and return spring? Or is that what you meant by still needing the OE brackets. I know about the e-brake cable being separate (unless used, of course).

Loaded with pads. I guess I'll find out exactly what else I need when they get here. Here's what I got ($120.25 with combined shipping): Right and Left

Re: For those waiting on Camaro caliper brackets....

Chopped71's posts #20 and #21 of this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=180846 show pictures of the calipers we need along with the brackets and cables. The calipers that you bought look to be the right ones. The bracket is what's bothering me, so far. I need to try the local Chevy dealership and see if they're still available. I also think that there's some sort of extension that's needed. I'm still checking on that. Maybe chopped71 can chime in since he's apparently already done the mod.

Do you think this is the cable (2 required)?

There are also parking brake cable guides, etc., listed on their site. The bracket shown in chopped71's pictures are my next part to source.

And then I have to figure out if I need these: http://tsmmfg.com/cable_housing_spacer.htm

Parts, parts and more parts. BUT it still looks to be cheaper than the CPP stuff. And it should work just as well.

Re: For those waiting on Camaro caliper brackets....

Good news!! The brackets are in my hands! I will be finishing up the install instructions and them getting them all packaged up tonight and tomorrow. They should be going out to all those who have pre-paid on Friday or Monday. I will also be started a for sale post shortly.

Thanks to all those who have waited, and especially to Bamm for providing me with the calipers!!!!

Re: For those waiting on Camaro caliper brackets....

do you reckon that powdercoating these would throw the geometry totally out of whack, or?

is this something you're currently offering on these? not sure if you have the gun or oven to do it.

Re: For those waiting on Camaro caliper brackets....

I do have the ability to do it...... I don't think the power would be thick enough to throw things off, just by seeing the clearances on each side of the caliper as it sits in relation to the rotor. I'll know for sure soon enough though, when I get slowed down a little I will powder coating my set.
