New seats!!!!

Well, the seats aren't new but I did have them reworked.

I didn't like the high backs, so I had them cut down and recovered. First pic is the old seats. All the the rest are the new seats.

The seats were aftermarket C5 Corvette look-a-likes. Sorry, I don't remember who made them.

Re: New seats!!!!

No offense but those just don't look right. The lines extending to the top should have been modified to curve around and connect toward the top. Every time I look at them I expect them to be highbacks but they aren't -- it's messing with my mind!

Don't mean to dis your ride, but it looks nice enough that you would want to know!

Re: New seats!!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement (but one). I really like the way they turned out. Every show I've taken it to I've been asked why I put high back seats in it. The old seats were really nice but they just didn't look right in the truck.

The cost for the seats and then having them reworked two years later was astronomical.

crakarjax, I don't agree but your welcome to your opinion.

I figured as much! Just trying to bring some constructive criticism and perhaps a different perspective to the table.

Re: New seats!!!!

The thing I love about being on this board is most people help and offer encouragement on almost every post. It's very hard to stay upbeat when you spend so much time, effort, and money on our beloved past time. It helps to read the information here.

I'm saddened when people confuse "constructive criticism" with an opinion.

My seats are finished, I paid the bill yesterday. I can't change lines without having to start over.

I guess I need to have a thicker skin if I decide to post anything! I've always felt very comfortable posting in the past.

Re: New seats!!!!

What is the center console out of, it looks like a late model chevy. Those seats are awesome, I am in the process of trying to find some for my truck, but couldn't decide, but you nailed it on the head with those. Where can you find a set like you had before being cut down?

Sorry if I offended you, it's hard to tell if people are looking for actual opinions or just a pat on the back. I guess I'll keep my thoughts to myself in the future. Obviously you like the way it looks, or else you wouldn't have had it done. I was just offering my opinion so that others who happen upon this post and decide to do the same would have less chance of possibly overlooking that concern and spending lots of hard earned money only to be 90% satisfied with the outcome.
