Seat belts

I have a single cab bench seat that sits 3 across. Can someone verify how the double seat belt buckles in the middle are sewn in? I had my seat belts re-webbed and my buckle buttons face away from each other. Seems like when you sit in the truck with the belts on and someone in the middle, the buttons are toward our bodies instead of away. Shouldn't the be facing each other so when buckled, the button is away from our hips?

Before I take them back to the upholstery shop. I wanted to make sure they are wrong.

Thanks

Re: Seat belts

I just looked at my factory belts. They are not back to back like yours. They are both with buttons facing up.

Re: Seat belts

So I took the buckles back to the upholstery shop today and they were resewn correctly. Buttons are now facing each other and they should work without having to cross.

Re: Seat belts

So, next question. Thinking about the center seat belt. Does the double buckle go on the left and the belt go on the right, or vice-versa?

Re: Seat belts

Nevermind. Double buckle on left, belt on right.
