How do you reset....

....the change oil soon warning in the dash on an 05 Silverado? I'm gonna change my own oil instead of taking it to the lube joint again.

Re: How do you reset....

it should reset by turning the ignition on, not starting the truck, and pressing the gas pedal a full 3 times

If you flip through your owners manual it tells you how to do this, but it also says that the light will blink to confirm that you've done it properly, however my truck has never done that. The way I know it worked is when I start the truck back up and the light doesn't come back on
