Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

I am parting out this 68 short fleet. The bed is really nice and the floor is nice and striaght and 99% rust free, however is does have a hole in it from a fuel fill spot, and the rear brace has been trimmed up for a blazer tank set up. There is some heavy pitting on the front bed panel at the bottom but not thru anywhere.
There is some filler in on the tail end of the bed, and some on the DS.Wheel houses are nice!! NO TAILGATE
I am asking $800 obo for the bed.

I also have a floor shift tilt, it does not have a neutral safety switch and has a different looking shaft that extends to the steering gearbox, not sure if it came in our trucks, but I kno wit fits . The tilt part is very nice and tight and it has the correct harness plug for our trucks.
$250 OBO

The hood is a 69-72 and is nice...$50 obo

V-8 motor stands $25 obo

driver door, looks nice has some very small bubbles in the outside lower front corner. Galss is good, vent handle is broken, window reg is no good. It will come comeplete as you see it $75 The stuff on the door is glue, someone has fabric glued to them, Same for the passenger door as well

pass door, has a very small amout of rust in lower corners, hinges area is good and the door is complete as well... $50 (two trucks has first shot at this)

Radio delete cowl, I believe it has been shaved off, not sure till I pull. If it is shaved they did a good job.... $50

Used Blazer tank kit, not sure of condition, doesn't look too old at all, I can take off and include the hardware $100

Rust free 69-72 core support(looks like it from the pics, will kno wfor sure tomorrow) $150 obo

Rust free inner fender driver side $50
Pass side isn't terrible and could be patched $25

Brake booster, M/C combo with prop valve, mounting brackets and pedal rod
Unknown condition $50

1968 SWB frame, trailing arms. It has 5 lug suspention on it already, discs brakes in the front. Come with driveshaft. The frame looks to be in great shape, not rusty at all, and the trailing arms are very nice. It has been lowered in the rear, not sure on front. The po cut the front frame horns off for a fantom grill, but I do have a set of horns that I will include, should be an easy fix. The frame has a manual tranny crossmember in it not, but I will throw in a auto crossmember. $350 obo

The cab is garbage and I have a bill of sale and will try to get a title,(not sure if I can yet) if I do get the title the person who get the frame can have the cab and the title for $100, plus my cost to register to get the title.

If you see anything I didn't price just ask and I will.I masy be able to help deliver some of the parts just ask.

All parts prices DO NOT include shipping give me your zip for an accurate quote.

All responses are to be in the thread only as to not start any confusion.
NO pm's until you have posted your intentions in the thread.

Here are the pics

Re: Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

Do you know if there's been any gas sitting in the tank? Does it seem to be in good condition? Can you check shipping to 37075? Or, if you are coming to the meet on the 19th someone can pick it up for me.

Don't know much about the tank at all till I get it off. I do know that it is a repop or newer tank for sure. I am not going to the meet.
I am guessing on shipping but I think about $40 would cover it.

The seat is a 88-95 bench and is not for sale at this time, sorry I am probably going to keep it for myself.

What is the condition of the wiring harness? Was it a gauge cluster truck?

Unfortunately both fenders are like that, the PO had a phontom grill in it and
I guess had to chew them up like that to get the grill to fit??

Re: Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

Byrd,

Can you shoot some more pics of the bed? Particularly the filler spots and the underside. Also, did you find out what condition the tank is in and what capacity it is?

Thanks.

The bed has the usual filler at the rear around the taillights, I will get som e better pics later today for you.

Re: Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

Hey how far would you be willing to haul this or can you? If I buy the bed, frame, hood, doors, and front fenders. I dont need the cab or the title but if you want to strip what youd like from it and leave it on the frame thats fine. I am located in Van Buren Mo 63965
Do you need anything? I love a good trade.

Re: Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

Here are more pics of the bed, frame, blazer tank kit, inner fenders and coresupport. The ds inner fender does have a quarter sized spot of rust in the front. I have a pice I can cut from another to patch. The PS however is kinda rough with a large patch needed. I should have the correct metal needed to make the patch.

The bed does have some filler on the tail and a little foam and most likely a rust hole in the DS bedside. I really do not see why they used filler on the corners, no rust the I can find and you can reach that part with a hammer and dolly???? The supprts are in great shape, except the trimmed one(has to be done for a blazer tank conversion) I cannot find any rust in the floor, the supports, or the front panel(other than some pitting no rot)

The blazer tank had a small amount of gas in it, but I washed it out a few times and got clean water back out of it, heck there isn't any real pitting on the outside, so I am sure the inside is fine. There is a pic of the hardware that is included with the tank and sending unit.

The DS door has a small spot on the lower portion of the door and the PS will need some work along the lower edge.

Re: Parting 68 short fleet NICE BED

The frame in the rear looks really nice and the front suspention has had the upper ball joints replaced at some point, there is also a better pic of the front of the frame where the horns were cut on.

Here is a pic of the bootm(passenger side ) of the 69-72 coer support it is rust free.
