I have electronic distributor in it matter fact it's a second one I put it in 3 years

2nd on adding a shroud.

Add a thermal spacer between the carb and intake. If there isn't one for your carb, might just add 2 or 3 standard carb/intake gaskets.

Might try slitting the appropriate size rubber hose and putting it over the metal parts of the gas line wherever you think there is excess heat.

If you are running one of those open air filters, think about getting a newer stock housing and run a cold air intake hose to someplace in front of the core radiator support.

Run a return line from a pressure regulator back to the tank. The extra flow eliminates vapor lock normally. Had to do that to my 79 pickup here in Phoenix.

Find yourself some gasoline that doesn't have ethanol in it and see if that helps.

I use non ethanol gas in my big block truck everyday here. I drove it to Texas this weekend and had to buy gas with ethanol in it. When the day got hot and I was in slower traffic it started vapor locking.

A phenolic spacer at the carb and shielding on the lines are helpful too.

as far as ethanol fuel it is possible to find something that's not ethanol that is kind of hard to find any here in town I was hoping I didn't have to go that route either
while I was fiddling around with it yesterday it looks like the electric fuel pump has failed and it's not working at all so I got another one on order and I got the 2 to 3 and 1/2 PSI Edelbrock which I hope will be enough and I'm going to mount it back by the tank and then maybe just take the manual off and that should take care of it I hope.

You need a regulator with a return line for an electric pump. Electric pumps don’t like to be deadheaded and heat up and fail.
All you need is your mechanical pump.
You don’t have a fuel delivery problem or vapor lock issue, you have a cooling issue.
You need to put a fan shroud on that’s set up right to keep your motor cool while in traffic at low speeds.
Those shrouds from speedway are the best way to go.

Along with a shroud you need a coolant recovery system.

It is very old school to run an electric pump to push fuel and use a mechanical fuel pump inline basically like a pressure regulator. I'd say you ony need that mechanical pump, once you work out the bugs on the overheating issue.
