Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Out here a canopy is just the small, mostly light weight shell that goes over a bed to keep the weather out and give you ample storage room. Ive seen them called toppers too. If you say camper out here it means a large over the cab version with living and sleeping areas.

Joe,

I was a little skeptical of the condition and asked the owner to send a few photos of the grille/surround rivets. A replaced grille would have been a deal killer for me. Here's a few of the pics, glad to see the original grille and finish. Definitely garaged!

I clicked on the link and looked at the photos. I have never seen a bumper that looks quite like this one. Anyone else?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Every once in a while you will see one of these rear bumpers, but they are not common. This allows the tailgate to open all the way down, so it has a 180 degree rotation. You can back all the way up to a loading dock with this one...

Same owner as above listing earlier 71 longhorn. He had told me $800, on the flatbed but was waiting on pink slip. Looks like he realizes he sold the 71 too cheap.

Got a link? I can't tell, is that a white top or is this the 574 custom two tone (yellow top)?

71 K10 short step $6.9K
Base model with a 6, but pretty great buy-in price for a somewhat hard to find (and popular) truck with this nice of a body on it. Price allows room for you to fix it up how you'd like mechanically, etc. Or leave it just like it is.

72 K20 Cheyenne Custom Camper $3.5K
Be forewarned, seller posted, then went on vacation. After multiple attempts, he only responded to tell me he'd respond soon - and that was two weeks ago, so I gave up. Maybe you will have better luck.

That's a great question - I did see that, noted they are a different size too, so I hope it's not the spare!! Perhaps they were a full extra set, it was born in Canada and the 2nd set perhaps had studded tires?? (not sure if that's what the option and description means - but I've never heard 8 lug referred to as 8 stud, who knows...), so perhaps that's what the deal is.

Here is another truck that had the same combo (also a Canadian truck):
