Engine cross members are bringing $100 or more. The front spring hangers and shackle hangers are $100-150 or more if the leaf spring mounting holes aren't wallered out. The Rockwell tcase shifter and parts are pretty hard to come by and that stuff would easily sell I believe. The rear D60 would probably bring $100-200. I'd be willing to bet that front bumper would bring $500 or more if you can straighten it. I'd be interested in it the way it is. To me it looks to be a 67/68 frame and those are even harder to find. I'm a K nut so those little cracks in the front or that rear cross member would not have slowed me down. Around here we have to pay double this truck's asking price for trucks in the same shape. It's getting hard to find a decent project truck. Especially under a grand.
Yes sir that is all very true. Cracks... what cracks. I easily repaired 10 different places on my frame when I tore it down. I do realize not everyone has the equipment and or ability to do it so I understand walking away from it. Hopefully someone saves it. Frame work isn’t all that bad if you take your time and measure, measure, measure!

I have the skill set and resources to weld, repair and fabricate. I thought about it and by the time I repair the frame, find a decent body, put the newer axles and find a powertrain, I could have likely bought a complete 4x4 truck, maybe a little more money for a complete truck. Building them is where a lot of the fun is but I don’t want to invest that much time and want to start some where more complete.

That’s a good assessment of it. It’s one thing to start out with a complete truck and have the majority of the big parts to put it back together. But starting from virtual scratch is an expensive endeavor.

Shoot, anymore, I'd almost start from scratch and piece one together. Have you seen what K trucks are bringing? I know a guy contemplating purchasing a 72 K10 for $10k that has the engine torn out of it and needs how many g notes to get it driving.

Re: Any good parts on this frame?

Haha that was funny. I was thinking about going to look at that gmc just to see if it’s legit. No way I’d pay 10 for it ever but would be cool to see if it’s a real shorty Sierra.

It is true though the 4x4 trucks are bringing good money these days.

Re: Any good parts on this frame?

If that thing gets parted out, if be interested in the rear leaf springs.
