e brake help

ive got a cab stripped except for the e brake mechanism. it is sandwiched between the cowl and dash. seems like bolts on side of dash need to be removed and dash bent out slightly to have clearance for removal. im afraid of bending dash. anyone done this? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

The e-brake will come out without bending the dash. Make sure the cable is completely removed from the cab, remove the nuts on the firewall side and the one bolt on the lower dash. If you swing it inward, you can make it clear. Once it clears, you can remove it.
