Re: C-10 POWER CRUISE .....DINO'S or BUST !!!

I am calculating ~1500 miles from Monroe, LA to Phoenix, AZ (through Oklahoma City and Albuquerque, NM. Sounds like a 3 day trip to get there and 3 more to get home.

Re: C-10 POWER CRUISE .....DINO'S or BUST !!!

put about 3300 miles on the rental last time i was there , landed in LA drove to arizona stayed there for a few weeks and drove back

i checked on google and it looks like the arizona weather in november is comparable to springtime here

i might be able to actually make it as long as i can keep myself from ordering truckparts untill then
it prolly be just a one week stay though

any summit stores or sumtin like it in the neighbourhood last time i was at paw i think in LA
if i go im not going home empty handed , planning on loading up on a lot of small parts i need for the truck like a shift kit , transbrake and stuff like that

that makes me think does anyone take any parts with them to trade ?

Miles to Dino's (1380), hours in the truck (22), cold beverages at a C10 gathering (Priceless).

I have made this drive several times when we lived in Tucson. The siskiyou's are the worst part of the drive.

John, definitely something to ponder, I know you had a blast last year, lets see what the weather and the gas prices look like in November.

maybe not i was looking at the map and that would add 182 miles to your trip but i20 may be a good route for others

Re: C-10 POWER CRUISE .....DINO'S or BUST !!!

What days are the show, Fri, Sat, and Sun? Dino's party on Friday night? I'm trying to figure out what days I need off.

It will take me 3 days (450-500 miles a day) in the '63 each way, so I will probably need to leave here Tues afternoon and drive into the evening to the first stop. I'd like to be in Phoenix by Fri morning at the latest, so I can be rested and hidrated for the party!

I'm studying this hard...

I would need a little feedback from the folks in the Albuquerque area but looks good on the map. 730+ miles for you Mike. Smaller towns inbetween are always important. Anyone in the NM area that can chime in??

Would all be avoided if just went in on 10. I am definitely going to do my best to see if this could be possible for me! Slick67 if you can go and would want to drive out or whatever let me know. I have apartment in the Medical Center in H town and am here at least 60 percent of the time even though it says I am down in El Campo.
Cool. Thanks El C. I don't see myself making this trek but I can be support to make this happen for everyone else. I don't have my truck road worthy enough to make these kind of miles yet. A 700r behind the 327 and I would feel alot better about it.

Re: C-10 POWER CRUISE .....DINO'S or BUST !!!

I ran another route and can go through Dallas to Amarillo and then to Albuquerque, which cut off 100 miles for me. I have a friend in Azle, TX (west of Ft Worth) who I'd probably stay with on Tues or Wed night. Then to what ever planned meet on I-40 is decided on the next day, Amarillo maybe? Is the plan to be in Phoenix Thurs night or Friday early?

Mighty Mouse, I looked at that route too, but am a little hesitant to try West TX in an old ride. Things are pretty desolate out past Abilene, aren't they...been there on a motorcycle and questioned if I'd make it to the next gas station a couple of times.

The goodguys show is 16,17,18 of november, my party is friday 3 pm to around 11ish. friday at goodguys is pretty good. you could go spend some time check it out and then roll over to our party and eat dinner , we just do hamburgers, hotdog chips soda and water and some snacks. ( sorry no beer and stuff)i will have a area set up for some of the venders , nate p/b the chrome guy, and some others.I will be making about 250 shirts this year and handing them out .I can also help with trailer parking, hotels locations and such.Saturday i might try to arrange a breakfest spot to meet up it depends on were alot of guys stay scottsdale close to the show or central phoenix. we can play that by ear, saturday is a great day at goodguys and the most packed.Saturday night we got to a huge cruise spot not far from the show, sunday well .....??? this is the shirt from last year I am so stoked about this cruise and meet you duudes
