No way to test, truck had no motor. Air pressure gauge does work when put air to it, but sits on about 10 psi with no air, speedometer seems to work when spin shaft. All I know about it

doesnt the air gauge work off vacuum, so air pushing wont work right? it needs the pull of vacuum...

Don't be too hard on yourself pimpston. There are both vacuum and air gauges as options for our trucks. The air gauges came on big trucks with air brake systems. The vacuum gauges were to monitor engine vacuum for various reasons. The air gauges are gaining popularity among those that want to keep the stock cluster look and have a gauge for their air ride supply.

There is a vacuum gauge also, there was 2 different gauge configurations available.

You'd have to take the tach off the backing plate, there is a decal on the back that says which version it is.
