First long drive

Finally the parts and answers are almost all hear. Tonight I started the cooling system by draining it, washing it out, and adding cleaner. Now I need to drive it for six hours so I took off to the foot hills and I was surprised. I don't have a shroud or a fan installed and it ran 180+-5 all the way. I drove about two hours, one before sunset and one after sunset on a 98 degree day. Realized the cheap stereo and speakers work, that the old steering box is a PIA, and that having the heater on in 90 degree weather is pretty stupid. I will drive it the next two evenings then I can begin installing the new hoses, fan shroud and fan. That is after I remove and drain the PS pump and replace the steering box. If it drives well enough I might take it to Hot August Nights to see if I get the best Ugly Truck award. Hopefully I can get it lowered and the tail pipes extended before HAN.

Glad the drive went without problems. That is always a nice plus!
