Question for ya, what's the best tire set up excluding sand tires for running around in the dunes?

Great pics, thanks for posting.
Oh, Probably Mickey Thompson Baja Belted is the most popular. I don't think it's too important though.. The best thing to do is let more air out. I ran 10-11 lbs. in those Swampers. 37x12.5 on 12" wide
It's all about air pressure & POWER... If you don't have power, than you need momentum. Momentum can get to be a rough ride with leaf spring suspension. It would be awesome if you did make a family trip, we'll see if we can get Chevyman63 to finish his ride!! Come on Tim, time to shift into second gear!!! J/k

Re: Michigan Sand Dunes (pics)

Cool!
So do they require the dune flags to be on the front?
Out her at Pismo everyone hasum on the back.

I can see were the front would be visable first as you climb a dune so maybe that is the thinking...
Looks like fun!

You're right...I was just telling the wife today that I'm going to get a little less fussy about stuff and try and get it together so I can drive it. Now that you're off work you can help! J/K.

Great pics. Brings back memories.

I'll let you know when I'm going to actually do something.

Know anyone who has a pair of stock rear leaf springs?

True, but I have my DIY4X shackle flip, so I can run my stock springs and still have about 4" or so.

Check em first, you might need to re-center your axle in the wheelwell after the shackle flip.
