? on Max tire size for stock 81 K5 4x4
Hey guys and gals,
I'm going out to get mudders today and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what's the max size tires I can get on the 15x8's without tearing up the sidewalls. I'm pretty sure 31x10.5's will work no problem. Anyone running 32's or 33's. I've got the heavy duty suspension with a pair of shocks on each side on the front. I got a few responses on the 73-87 message board but I know you guys have several trucks.

i knew a guy who had 10 inch wide rims and could run 33"s with no lift, but they rubbed really bad. a 32" should fit with minimal rubbing if you backspacing is right. otherwise just throw a 4"inch lift kit in and never worry again!

All trucks are a little different, but 32X11.50s on an 8 inch rim will fit fine on pretty much all trucks. Might be able to make them rub a little when REALLY twisted up and turning sharp. 33X12.50s (on the 8 inch rims) will work fine on the road on most trucks, but will also rub a lot sooner on most trucks off-road. Some people run the 33s and claim no rubbing.
