Is this all I need to switch from a metal to wooden bed floor
1-Buck Gate for a wooden floor
2-5pcs cross sill 72"long 2" tall
3-1pc cross sill 49 1/2" long 2" tall
4-1pc rear cross sill
5-12pcs of wood....."need to know how long & wide"
6-11pcs metal strips
7-bolt kit

I need a sample of the wood for the floor because i'm going to make my bed floor (looking at cedar because of the color)
does not matter if rotten & 6" long

I can not anyone that sell that Classic Truck Magazine in this area.
I would like to have a copy..If anyone has one with the bed floor conversion I would like to buy it.

ira, Why cedar? It is incredibly soft and light if that is what you are looking for but even as a show truck this wood is really prone to nicks and dings. I would consider a hardwood and then look over the available stocks to find the proper color. I do this all the time when I want something particular. You can get oak in just about any color you like from white oak to red oak! There are other woods that are much more suitable for truck bed applications too. I am such a purist when it comes to wood I refuse to stain it...I hate covering the natural color but will hunt forever to get the right shade for a project. Just my 0.02!

I am going to do a two tone wood bed on my stepside with Bowtie inlays in a slightly lighter color of the same wood.

The only reason is the color with natural finish.
It will match the truck color Wildberry with pearl.
Plus no one else has a cedar wooden bed.
This will be a garage kept truck......10 year & still working on it.
