lower 3/4 ton?

can i lower 8 lug sub? or do i need to convert to 5 lug?

Seems like shorter springs, dropped spindles or lowering blocks if leaf springs would be the way to go. Or even shorter tires/wheels as long as rims clear the brakes. Mel

can you lower a 3/4 ton...why not...I did.

now its been converted to 1/2 ton but this is how low it sat on the old 8 lugs...

what was the cost and difficulty of doing the swap to 1/2 ton. thats a nice burb. aint nothin like black primer.

cost is over $1000 including all of the new parts(ball joints, bushings, tierods, sleves, control arms, drop spindles, lowerd coils, brakes, etc.), rearend, labor for machine pressing ball joints and bushings. Difficuilty would be 8-9 out of 10 due to the moving of heavy parts, and the general difficulty of working with suspension and driveterrian and brakes. If you have never tried anything like it I would not do it and leave it up to someone with experience...
