My '72 has 2 horns on it, no clue if it is stock though. It isn't listed on the option sheet. One is next to the radiator on the driver's side, the other is kinda behind the driver's side headlight on the core support. Strangley, only one works and is hooked up.

I don't have dual horns listed in my option sheet, but sure enough, I do have dual horns.

Patch, do you know what the "NON GLARE MIRROR" looks like? I've never heard of it before. You don't have the full option number available do you (chopped of in the picture)?

The mirrors that are on it are not the stock ones I'm sure.....The build sheet says short arms mirrors.....and whats on there now is minature looking West coast mirrors......?????????

for you guys that have dual horns, wasnt that on cst and cheyenne models and custom deluxes, i think i heard somebody on the board say that before.

Not Cruise but close

Here is my latest project, I just got. 1971 c10 4x4. Whooohooo! Does anyone else have this option? What is is for? I don't think I have a PTO.

Very simple. It's purpose is to raise the engine's rpm's without having to be in the cab with your foot on the gas pedal.

Why?

To run PTO driven equipment for one.
To run engine belt driven hydraulic equipment for another

On 4x4's they were common if you used it to plow snow with. The hydraulic driven plow angle and lift is more efficient the faster the engine revs.

If you want to sell the one on your 71 because I was kind enough to explain this I'll buy it. I need one for my 72 GMC plow truck.
