Glass/windscreen specification,legislation

Here in the uk the government is introducing a tick box on the vehicle tax form , to find out if your vehicle has been modified.they then want to see if the identity of the vehicle has changed. This is on a point system and you get so many points for a un modified frame, axles suspension engine axles etc.If say the chasis has been altered, notched for a axle drop , then the vehicle does not comply and would need to be re tested to current day standards, heres the problem, the glass has to be E43 marked to comply, and i do not know of any one who makes classic screens especially the american cars with european markings. Could some one please help , and advise who makes the screens and glass for the c10, and the specification of the glass. Or a contact who could help i would like to see if this is similar to the e43 specification, and it will help many brits with the american cars in the uk. btw most have uprated engines, and thats another thing they are looking at stopping. police state or what.
I would be interested if anyone can supply suitable screens , as i could distribute these in the uk , as i stock most of the 67-72 chevy parts.

Doing some searching for you. The link shows most countries.

E43 is a Japan glass. E42 European Community.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I believe major suppliers like Pilkington put both American and European markings on their glass. I would check with a local glass shop to see what's available in your area, or, if you want to stock glass parts, talk to a distributor.

Sounds like the government in the UK is a lot like the Canadian government. They seem to be always coming up with useless laws that accomplish nothing except making your life more complicated.

Like Trump stated if you want a new law, you must remove two old laws! If this starts to take off, we should be better off.

Then again, I live in New Yorkistan and communism is in rule here!
