Just had a thought...could the wiring harness be easily altered to work with the pedal you modified? maybe it is just a couple wires that need to be swapped or something. You should call the guys that worked on your harness before you throw out that pedal you spent so much time on.

Get the wiring pin-outs for each year pedal and re-pin the pedal's wiring harness. You can also buy the harness connectors online if necessary. I didn't have the actuall pedal harness and ended up making my own by following the wiring diagrams and using some extra connectors I had.
