Well, Crews delivered the 2WD Blazer frame to me 2 weeks ago. I finally got to work on it. It had a little more rust than I was expecting but nothing that I haven't taken care of. One of the rear upper spring mounts was rusted enough that it broke off with little pressure. I cut the bad out and replaced it with new steel. The shock crossmember was shot so I just threw a new one in between the frame boxing plates. I went ahead and c-notched the frame although, I will not be bagging it. In one of the pics you can see all the junk and in another, you can see the replacement parts. Can't wait to get the frame sandblasted and painted. More pics to come. Later, FuelCellGuy

Just for the record, this is the Blazer that is going from 4WD to 2WD.

Great start on project. Blazer looks great as 4x4 and should look better down low. Any plans for 4x4 rolling setup?

FuelCellGuy,... C-notching the frame is a good idea. My 6" drop rear springs are only about 1.5" off the frame. I will be notching in the spring.

Man that is a great looking 4x4 Blazer! I'd keep as 4x4...but it ain't mine...enjoy the transformation.

I tried to sell this Blazer for more than a year for $7500 with no luck. I have always wanted a 2WD Blazer, this is as close as I can affordalbly get. Also, when it come time to sell it, I can get a lot more that $7500 for it. I am not much of an offroad nut so I just wanted a clean driver that is COMFORTABLE to drive. The Blazer in 4WD form will beat you to death. Later, Mark

How much are you wanting for the rolling frame?

$1000 FIRM without engine and bumpers. I will be taking anything necessary for the conversion such as the shifter linkage. It will be a rolling chassis. All the 4WD works. Tranny take a few seconds to engage into reverse but shift VERY firm in all the forward gears. Before it is asked, I am not real sure what the ratio is in the rear. Later. Mark

Looks good I have been thinking of doing the same thing to mine as I never really use 4wd and 2wd would be much kooler...

Nice body to do a swap with,I dont blame you for going 2 wheel drive IMO they look the best and are much more street friendly....and the resale value is great as you already know.
