Question about 9' Long Bed Steps Side bed parts - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of fixing up my dads old 1970 GMC 9' long bed step side. I've only seen the metal strips to hold the wood bed down for short beds and long beds. Does anyone know if they make the metal parts for a 9' bed? I have seen some sets that are cut & drill to fit, but they dont call out overall length. I plan to cut & router the wood, but cant seem to locate the metal. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen any but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist. I would probably just weld some together and make my own. You would have to make sure the holes were in the right place.

Contact Mar-K they make them for the longhorn fleetside beds in 9' lengths.
