Re: Picture Thread:Golden Era Customs
Awful good stats considering that Willys was surely "well known" in the area. But wait. You didn't say no tickets.

One memory is the night of my stage my self and 2 buddies ( tight fit in cab) where out in it and came across a long flat stretch and I got into it and the front windshield blew in on us , I kept my cool and brought it to a stop, one passenger with some minor cuts, I'm sure I had a few extra drinks that night, oh the good old days. |

Re: Picture Thread:Golden Era Customs
Tickets. Hoo boy. I've had three cars that would turn 140+, but none of the windshields collapsed, or I'd be a dead man. I used to get tickets all the time. It got to where I could identify a Dodge Polara well over a mile away. That's what the CHP used in those days. The CHP wasn't allowed to use radar in those days, so when I saw a potential ticket giver, I'd flip the toggle switch that interrupted the brake light circuit and braked hard.

Darn. I didn't know that either. That was a nice Club Coupe.
This '51 Chevy looks mild at first look

Re: Picture Thread:Golden Era Customs
Really slick!
Time for custom trucks. It's hard to find pictures of custom trucks because the search engines just find all this modern stuff that has nothing to do with the original "customs"
