It's 460 HP @ 6000 RPM. My Vette only has about 400 or something like that and it's plenty fast for me. I've only got on it hard a couple times. Once when I was stuck at a red light and a homeless guy was wiping windshields with a paper bag and a bottle of what looked like pee in it. He started heading my way and the light turned green. I floored it. I didn't want him near my car.
The other time was to beat a train. The crossing arms started coming down so I punched it. I worked next to a railroad yard and you could get stuck by one of those trains for 45 minutes if they stopped on the tracks. And they did it all the time. Anyone who knows Norwalk Blvd. in Santa Fe Springs knows exactly which crossing I'm talking about.
That's a nice-looking vette! Did you know that if a train blocks an intersection for more than 15 minutes, the engineer can be cited by the CHP? I've seen it happen!

I like yellow too. And I think the black breaks it up.

Still waiting on the paperwork. This dealer is slow. My wife is going crazy. She wants her car NOW! I guess once they have your money Then there's no rush on their part. I went through the same thing when I bought my 911. Hurry up and wait.

Re: Expensive flat tire.

Well. The dealer was stalling us and I have the shipper bugging me on when to pick the car up.

I didn't really understand. It's paid for and all the paperwork is done. What's the hold up?

I found out...They cracked the windshield. It's got a big nasty crack in it and they have to fix it. They were ducking me. Of course nobody there knows how it happened. So it's just another delay.

They said that they just happened to notice it. How do you miss that when the car is in the middle of the showroom?

If my wife didn't want this car so much I'd tell these guys where to shove it.

Do you see a big ugly crack in this windshield? Because I sure don't. They broke it.

Re: Expensive flat tire.

Damn that’s a nice looking car, I’d love to make the C7 jump in a few years. They are incredibly capable cars for the price. Make sure you put a catch can on that LT1, those direct injection engines have some intake valve carbon issues. I hope you get it soon and get to enjoy it ASAP!

Re: Expensive flat tire.

FINALLY!!! A month later it's here. Everything that could go wrong did. But it was worth it. It's a beauty. But what a pain. It's much nicer than my C6. I'm going to lose the lame license plate and get a black one. And I guess I've got to make some room in the garage and that's going to be a drag.

My girl is happy. And that's all that matters to me.

My 996 and my C6 are old driveway friends. The C7 is just the new kid on the block.

No. But I know all the naughty words.

I had a girlfriend that was from Germany. So I am familiar with being cussed out auf Deutsch.

I also had a girlfriend from Mexico. So I've been cussed out en español as well.

They seem to go back to their native tongue when they're mad. Which is often with me around.

I think the black stripes break it up a little.

It reminds me of my big brothers 71 Roadrunner. I borrowed it once and fried the clutch doing burnouts (I was 16) He was mad and he beat the crap out of me. I deserved it. He loaned me his car and I messed it up. To this day he still complains about that. I guess there's some things that you never live down.

Re: Expensive flat tire.

My cousin Phil bought one just like this back in '70. We grew up playing with cars together, swapping and such. That all ended with that car. His had laser stripes and shaker hood, too
