This is another one of those purpose built vehicles that looks like one purpose at first glance: off road, out doors, etc. But in reality it was built for another purpose entirely: For those with lots of disposable income to purchase and drive around the more affluent areas showing everyone how cool they are.

No thanks but I will give them a nod for no carpet and a few other items that should be in a "real" off road vehicle.

I'm now glad I added a second meter panel to my garage. It's getting more and more likely I'll own "something electric" in the next 10-15 years.

If it really is that $, it's because "it's first." The great thing is that tech will trickle down into other GM vehicles and eventually be affordable (ish?) for the rest of us.

Tesla has affordable electric cars, but their stupid fast/fun ones are as expensive as this GMC (if $115K is correct).

I'm still highly likely to end up in a new 4 door Bronco around 22/23

Had the same thought AND at the moment I am revamping my electrical panel and thinking the same thing..but the electric supply house (Platt electric) cannot tell me which 220 plug they sell for that purpose

I'm just going to leave a space in the box and run PVC to a stud/220 size box a couple feet away (my box is in the front corner, great location to run the charger close by). From the little I've researched there's a 220V and a 240V. Unfortunately, the 240V uses a different/heavier wire than what we would normally use for a 220 service, so if I run PVC in the wall, I can thread whatever I need in the future. It just depends if you need a 30 amp with a 10/3 wire or a 40 amp with a 8/3. The plug will just depend on the style your home wall charger needs?

I've driven a lot of electric cars. ( about 50) My company had them. I'd be lucky to get about 65 miles out of them.

That was a while back so I'm sure that the battery technology has improved. I sure hope so because they sucked back then. I remember white knuckling it back to the charging station with the dash lights blinking. We had 30 of them and it was the same with all of them. Nobody liked them.

My wife and I thought of getting a Tesla. We liked how fast they were with all that torque. But I killed that idea. They are just too boring looking. Like a Camry on steroids. Not for me.

The picture shown is a 30a 110v. Take almost 3 times longer to charge on that rather than a 220 circuit. They are saying a 40a 220. I just want to put it in and forget about it
