235 Front motor mount
I recently got this front motor mount bracket at a swap meet. I got it home and was wondering how the motor mount bolts to it, there are no holes! I opened the crate my motor is in and see that my brother had installed the correct one on it, geeez. Ok, so what in the heck is this one for?

Scroll to modifying the timing plate. Looks like you have a later 235 timing plate where the block had side mounts.

Yuppers, they quit drilling the holes when they went to side mounts. I've drilled a couple of them on the engine and have swapped a couple when the engine needed a new timing gear anyhow. Never on my own rig though.
