Re: Rivian ?
I’ve never have liked hummers
They just seem to BIG I probably would not buy anything, 1st generation But I think both Chevy and Ford Will have their own offerings in the next couple years Someone, will capitalize in the electric truck market |

Re: Rivian ?
I like the looks of the new Rivian ,,my only problem with electict cars is that the motor is so quiet that the feel I have with hearing my motor in my gas rigs telling me just how much acceleration I need when pushing down on the GAS Pedal ,, As for electric cars and trucks..they are coming and here to stay ,,but,,I am thinking that just maybe my gas rigs are going to be not worth so much in a few years and also gas prices will probably go through the roof .. Old guys like me do not like change I guess..

Re: Rivian ?
I just can't figure needing hours to re-charge versus five minutes at a gas station?
Whatever the supposed range is, some of us want to drive farther than that in a day. We don't all live in LA and just drive to Yosemite If you start using it to tow/haul or drive off pavement, the range will drop drastically - just like gas mileage. Can you imagine emergency vehicles: I'm sorry, we can't respond to your fire/stroke right now - the truck is on the charger.

Re: Rivian ?
That is ugly. Pure, and simple. Telsa's look cheapnwith the I-pad dash.
If they want to sell to average people besides prices needing to drop. The should embrace conventional styling. I do not need or want interactive AI heat in any of my vehicles. |

Re: Rivian ?
They're slated to build those trucks about 30 miles east of here in a shuttered Mitsubishi plant. I haven't gotten a chance to see one up close. I am intrigued by some of it's features. I have however, had the opportunity to work inside the plant this past summer, doing some HVAC controls. They've added a couple additions onto the plant. And there was a ton of new equipment in crates waiting to be installed. I don't know when production will start, hopefully soon. It'll really help out the local economy.

Re: Rivian ?
Here is the first discussion we had on the Rivian last year. I believe Whitedog started that one.
