Rear Coil Springs, Leveled Ride Height

I have a 1970 c10 long bed. I have bought two sets of rear coil springs that claimed to be 2” drop but were same as stock height. Has anyone found rear coil springs that leveled the ride height?

Seems to me that your original springs have sagged 2". If you want 2" lower than it was, you need 4" drop springs.

On my 71, I had stock springs on front and 4" drop on rear. All 4 wheel wells were the same height off the ground.

Re: Rear Coil Springs, Leveled Ride Height

So your using stock spring up front ? Here is my truck with the level look I think you want. I used a 2 1/2 dropped spindle with original coil spring and truck has 92,000 miles so sure the front spring has sagged a bit. My truck had the factory Heavy Rear Spring, RPO G50, out back and initially I installed a 4 inch dropped spring with the spindle and the rear end was noticeably lower that the front. Installed a 3 inch drop spring and the truck, pictured, levelled out. Its like springs front or year sag at different rates depending on how the truck was used during it lifetime. So 2/1/2 drop spindle up front and 3 drop spring out back I got me the look I wanted.

I got a kit from POL. It was 1” and 2”. My truck definitely dropped.

Re: Rear Coil Springs, Leveled Ride Height

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I am guessing I need a 3” or 4” drop. I have submitted a request to POL for spring rate and unloaded height for 2, 3 and 4” drop

I also did the 2 1/2" drop spindles and 2" springs in the back along with 1" blocks for a 3" total. Keeping stockish size tires and factory overloads.
