THE Dent.....

ok...in most photos i see the door dent that plagues all of us....i was happy to find my shorty without one...until today, my buddy flipped the door open and......well , now we all match(The funeral will be a short one, not much to bury after the fire and all) what is a sure fire way of keeping the fender from kinking the door, the strap didn't work.

Re: THE Dent.....

Welcome to the club buddy! I think we should have a "Tommy Boy'd" club like how we have daily driver, drum brakes, etc. clubs.

Re: THE Dent.....

Remove the door stop and drill a hole a 1/4" back from the one that is there and trim off the excess metal and reinstall it. I garrantee the door will not open that far again.
There is also one from the Jeep that will work and is a two step stop. The only problem is I can't remember which one and I know it was the back door one. It might have been on the 98's but can't be for sure.

Re: THE Dent.....

I dont know i think mine was worse , a buddy of mine (well was) was moving my truck to the front of the school back in high school when i guess he didn't close the door all the way! And yeah i not only got the door kink thing and a smashed frontend, since the truck was mine i now own the bumper, tailgate and bed side on a nissan pickup running around OKC!!
So, Pquick i know how you feel, there was a short funeral but he survived enough to go to the bank and fix things!!
