Working on parking brake cables... CNC some stainless brackets to help keep the cables out of harms way...need something better than a 5/8-18 lug nut ...

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Swapped carbs on mine - from a 750 Edelbrock to a 600 Holley.
Word of warning - those $15 mechanical fuel pumps put out a lot more that the 5-7 psi recommended. Mine is overpowering the system and flooding the engine something terrible. Now I need to install a regulator...

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
It was delivered Friday from CA to MA.
I replaced the vent windows with some from Roger Koop that I was going to use on my 2 wheel drive Blazer, I ordered a pair of replacements. I replaced the sweeps and fuzzies, I can never get them perfectly straight. Replaced all the locks with a set from Leon including the glove box lock. And I took the top off today, outside by myself! \ The Blazer as it should be!

Oops. The photos are blocked here at work. Sorry! I can see these on my phone - glad this buy went better than the last member buy. Enjoy, that's a great buy.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Pieced together and test fit the Hydro-Boost system again. Made a bracket for the Wilwood proportioning valve to hang off my CaptainFab firewall mount. I was going to use -AN flex lines but hard lines will be cleaner and take up less space. I still need to plum the -AN Hydro-Boost lines and they would take up the same space ...

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
On the bright side, small blocks are fairly cheap and not having the original drivetrains doesnt effect the value of these trucks the way it does on some muscle cars. Don’t be too depressed.

The long block was in my truck with low oil pressure. I've had the other so long I cant remember, but I wouldn't have saved it

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
690 I will send you a PM with my number.
I chilled for a bit and feel better. lol ..I decided to pull out a core motor for a different build and I will take it apart to see if it is good...I will still need a block to not waist all the other good parts. looks like the core motor is the same block so it will work if good |

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Pics to follow but priming the new fenders and hood for my 72 K5. Switching back to the 72 from clip vs. the 68 that is there now.
And kudos to the kid in Taiwan that put the adhesive backed foam shipping pads on the fenders. I am not sure what type of adhesive was used but it would hold the space shuttle together. I used everything I had and ended up sanding it off with a DA and 80 grit. That guy is onto something with that adhecive foam pad. Scott |
