I think it had something to do with Big71 calling Josh a dick head chicken **** in a PM he sent him. Big71 was banned from the chat room last week for a whole lotta trash talking to a female board member. And I guess he stepped out of the rules, and told off the board owner. I don't think that's a good idea when he holds the "BAN" button.

I can't believe how everyone always starts jumping to conclusions like this. Dubie that was very well said. Even though I talk to Big all the time, I would have perma banned him if it was me. There were a few people in chat when he cussed at TJ. And others who see how he is treating the adminstrators. For the rest of you , he is a nice guy, always has been to me , he just needs to learn to shut his mouth and keep his foot out of it. People who do stupid shiot and get in trouble, always seem to come crying about how innocent they are to fellow board members. Anyone who knows Josh or even deals with him occasionally knows he is too nice. Maybe we should all try getting the facts before we start questioning the mods.

Never met him, and I'm sure he is a nice guy most of the time, but I'm with Josh on this one. Board improvement IMO. He has no-one to blame but himself.

Why is big71's wife posting stuff about him being banned? She should know why.

MHC: I don't see anybody jumping to conclusions here. A couple of members just asked why he was banned. Their reason isn't in the context of why for justification, but more out of curiosity I think.

This leads to a thought I had recently. Josh, and/or his admins probably haven't really considered this yet. If it gets public that a few members have been banned (and it already has) a knee-jerk reaction for a lot of folks still on the board is to get mad or accusatory, and think the admins are on a banning spree. Of course this isn't true, and 99.9% of the people here are good people that have demonstrated their ability to show restraint when things get heated, and know when to admit when they're wrong.

The truth is there's a few individuals on this board who have a hard time communicating with others, or respecting others contributions or place on the board, and after being approached on their attitudes have not reacted reasonably to the criticism. Their reaction is to take their displeasure to the board or the chat publicly, and can't keep it off. They've also chosen to repeat whatever the behavior or attitude that got them in trouble in the first place. Josh and his coleagues will only put up with so much, so they ban the individuals who choose not to follow the rules, or are willing to at least let something drop and move on without repeating themselves. To us the administrators may seem a bit reactionary, and that may be true when arguments break out, but there's things going on that we may not know about. Public confrontations aside, I think they're trying to do the best they can. The site is free for cryin' out loud, and its a good resource. Keeping it that way is a chore to say the least.

Beware though. The administrators can't of course prevent people from circulating email, or approaching others in an attempt to drum-up support for their side. I'm sure that's happen to a few of us.

Ultimately, aside from speculation I'd say either way in the long run it's none of our business anyway. Josh is the owner, TJ is an admin along with some others, and they do their jobs as they see fit. Period. Everyone here has the choice of accepting that, or going to a different board.

Cobalt I am sorry if I seemed out of line in what I said at first. What I was refering to wasn't only in this post. It has happened alot lately and most times it is due to a lack of knowledge . I also know that stepside 68, the thread starter, is a friend or relative of Tony's. This was done just to stir the pot . As I said before, I do talk to Tony and he has usually been very nice to me. It is sad to see someone who has condemed me in the past for my sins etc. to feel it is ok to speak totally out of line to other members in chat. Any of you that chat regularly know I am not easily offended.

You tell a moderator to F*ck off.... you're asking for a kick in the ass..... then go after the board owner.... well you get what you deserve. I had no problems with Tony as a person.... we had our conflict as most of you know, but he went overboard on a couple of occasions and will now have to own up to it! Simple as that. I don't think Tom or Josh acted out of line in any way.

I'm sorry and i don't mean to offend , but either this is Tony under a different name on someone elses computer or he married his sister. There is no way in hell that 2 people can have the exact same grammar and punctuation. Just an observation. I see Maximum agrees with me.

Now, lets not start dragging his personal preferences, opinions and habits into this. This is about his behavior on the board, not about whether or not people agree with his views on womens' rights or his status as a Christian. Just because he says he's a born again Christian and swears that doesn't mean he's someone to laugh at.

I'm a Christian, and have a problem keeping my mouth clean sometimes as well. You might as well lump me in with him if you're going to stick by that standard.

I'm not mad or anything, I'm just throwing up a warning flag.

Cobalt, there is a big difference. Tony on numerous ocassions has made his very strong "personal" feelings known on this board about both subjects. So he opens himself up to this stuff. He is the one that post that women were basically nothing more than something nice to look at and should not do any type of leadership, because "that is what it says in the bible". When he posted this crap, his personal beliefs aren't so personal. Many people have said that there is no room on the truck board for this crap, but it continues. Then when the people that keep pushing this crap falters, they don't want to hear about it.
