Good idea but it won't work that way, the cross member brace has an angle where it bolts to the 'c' section that slips into the frame rails.

Flipping it around changes the angles so much that it doesn't even fit between the frame rails anymore, let alone line up with the factory holes.

Drilling the extra set of holes in the frame isn't bad at all with a long bit and the open access.
