Exhaust kit for 4x4?

I am looking for an exhaust kit for my 70 4x4. I've got headers. Is there a kit out there that misses front drive line and transfer case? I can have a custom job done but id have to trailer it 60 miles 1 way and it is not running at the moment.Heartthrob said they only have kits for manifolds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Exhaust kit for 4x4?

I always have mine made, but I see your situation. What I do is get two pipes bent with back to back 45s like a 'z' so the bottom is even with the other top (2 1/4" offset if 2 1/4" pipe) and weld bell flanges on. I'd have to measure how far back the bends are. These will pass over your crossmember and you can rotate to clear transfer case. I have mine made of 5' lengths but probably do 3-4 next time. I lightly clamp a muffler on and drive to muffler shop.
You don't have those, so maybe you could have someone make them and send them to you. 3' would do, so shipping wouldn't be bad. Sounds like you have plenty of time before needing them

Re: Exhaust kit for 4x4?

Buy manifold kit. Cut off extra pipe and attach to reducers. That's what I did on my big block K30 because the only offered a small block kit. But it worked fine for me.

What trans and transfer case are you running when I had the th350 in my k5 I had no problems until I put nova headers on it then it had to be custom made and with the sm465 in it now even with the truck headers the exhaust had to be made
