1969 Chevy C10 396/ th400 WIW
I know a guy that is trying to sell a 1969 Chevy C10 truck that has a lot of options. Trying to figure out what a general value would be. I have saved 5 pictures but he has 40 pictures on Facebook. The truck was sold new in Deming, New Mexico and then went to Dallas, Texas. This guy bought it in 1999 and drove it to Indiana. It has sat inside ever since, being started and ran a couple times a year.
Here is his description: 1969 Chevy CST-10 long bed, 2wd, 396 high performance engine with a turbo 400 automatic transmission. Dark Green and white. Truck has ac, vinyl bench seat, carpet on floor, original am radio, cruise control, full guages with tachometer, two auxillary fuel tanks, dual exhaust, smog pump on engine, power steering, power brakes, and heavy duty rear springs. There is only surface rust on this truck except on the right front fender under the battery. The rockers, doors, cab mounts, and bed sides are solid and do not have any structural rust on them. There is no antenae or outside rearview mirrors, the bedsides are dented at the rear courtesy of the previous owner's bull. I believe it needs a new starter seleniod, the starter does not stay engaged. It sounds like it needs a water pump. The driver's side of the engine leaks oil through the exhaust manifold gasket and therefore smokes out the tailpipe, and you can hear the exhaust leak. The front windshield is cracked. What other questions should I ask? So what do you think?

That would like great at my place! The main thing i like is it hasn't been messed with. So hard to put a value on it without looking it over in person but i would throw $2-$4k out there.

Re: 1969 Chevy C10 396/ th400 WIW
$4gs seems very high for a truck like that over here on the west coast...different than your area of course. I paid $600 for a similar truck except it was a Grande Sierra. But I see trucks like that around here (optioned but dented up body) for $1-3gs (if the body is great but still a project.)

Re: 1969 Chevy C10 396/ th400 WIW
Thanks for your ideas. He is actually asking $4,000.00 for it and I thought that seemed high but in my area of the country the dents are an easier fix than the rust is. I have bought some other parts off of this guy and looked the truck over a little bit but did not climb around on it and really check it out because it is out of my price range. Thanks again for your thoughts.
Eric, did you see the post I made of the 69 C20 Longhorn I found for sale the other day? Bring a big trailer and they could both go back home with you. Thanks again
