1985 S10 part out

As it says, complete S10, 4.3 has a knock, but everything else is there. Let me know if you want anything. Can send pictures to verify.

I was waiting with hopes of the corona-virus dissipating but that seems unlikely forcing a co-existence for the foreseeable duration.

What is the status on this?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: 1985 S10 part out

I need the complete frame and the brake pedal assembly for my 54 swap.

I don't need the rear axle, none of the body parts, seat has been recovered in a brown naugahide and atually looks good. Everything is up for grabs.

Yeah, supposed to be in Carrolton at the granddaughter's birthday party Sunday, but no go because of the Corona thing. The truck is sitting at the ranch waiting for me to get done with the 48 so I can really start on the 54. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks.

Re: 1985 S10 part out

I have a buddy in Carrolton building a '59 Lark & was needing an early 2wd S10 rear end so he can push forward on his V8 conversion. I saw this weeks ago but w/the stay-home quarantine mandate didn't pursue it. Since things seem like they're going to drag on I figured we're all adapting to new 'safe' practices & it might be worth inquiring about.

Re: 1985 S10 part out

I have the rear end, just need to work out logistics. Ask him is $150 is fair if I pull it.

My buddy is interested in the rear end. Any possibility you know the gear ratio or have the VIN to possibly look it up?

Re: 1985 S10 part out

Does it have the chrome rear bumper and will it fit an '89 S10 Durango version? If so, can I get some pictures? Thanks

Re: 1985 S10 part out

Trukman, I'll get you a pic of the bumper, it is chrome, but is not perfect. As far as "will it fit", I can get the measurement between the frame and you can measure on your truck.

The rear frame is 40" outside to outside where the bumper mounts.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks

Re: 1985 S10 part out

Thanks for the pictures, 8man. That bumper isn't the style my dad wants. He wants a bumper that matches the factory bumper that came on his which has rubber around the sides and top. Thanks again for taking the time to send pictures. trukman1
