Coos Bay is salt air & rust, but even with no engine or drivetrain, only $500? Body looks straight, it has buckets and a tach dash... Looks like a great deal for someone!

Re: Someone go buy this QUICK Oregon

I've gone and looked at it and offered the guy $350 and he wouldn't take it. It says OBO then he tells me he won't take less than the $500 asking price. It looks better in the pictures than in person. Not really any sheetmetal worth saving and the tach dash has a nice orange rust tint washed over all the gauges. It does have the buddy buckets but they are rough and will most likely need new foam. I was just going to buy it for the seats and scrap the rest.

Believe me when I first saw this ad about 2 months ago my heart starting beating a little faster. I rushed over that night only to be disappointed that I didn't just come across the fabled "Craigslist Find". I let about 4 or 5 weeks go by before offering the $350 and it's been about 4 more since he turned it down. He said he would sell it for $300 without the seats and dash but I see no point in paying to haul off someone elses scrap. When I looked it did still have the engine and transmission still in it, so that would be another hassle waiting for him to pull them.

Re: Someone go buy this QUICK Oregon

Yep, I know what you mean. Just not worth the hassle of getting rid of the scrap. Let alone the hassles from the state patrol or county. WES

So offer him $200 for the seats?

I did offer him $100 for the seats with no response. I don't really want the seats, I was just trying to make some extra money for my own project. There's a certain point where it's more hassle than it's worth.
