Portland Swap Meet Find

Here is what I picked up at the Portland Swap Meet the first week in April. I don't know much about it. No markings, does not look like the ones in the magazines produced today or what LMC sells. Not sure if you can tell from the pics but the front edge mimics the leading edge of the hood.

No chips or cracks in the fiberglass. Very nice, tight fit. Plan to fill in the mounting pockets in the center for a smoother look.

Well, what do you think? Any ideas or information?

Re: Portland Swap Meet Find

I haven't quite figured out what it is yet but I think it is one of those things I keep telling my buddy he needs to take off his trucks and throw in the dumpster. He has the noisy wind catching things on two of his trucks I know of.

Re: Portland Swap Meet Find

I don't know if you can tell from the pics but the leading edge matches the profile of the front of the hood perfect. Even the sides match the slopes on the hood edge. Would look alot diffrent if it was another color.

Re: Portland Swap Meet Find

It`s obviously not a Lund. There were a few different options at one time.Remember, all you nay sayers, these are "trucks" we like and, although car-like styling is the bomb these days, visors have been a truck accessory ever since visors were eliminated as an intregal part of the body.I like the original lines of factory bodywork and prefer the "clean" look, too.but,on the right truck these still have their place.I bought this steel one for the`70 C/30 I built into a work truck.I wanted all the big truck Qs.I chromed the senior west coasts and had stacks planned, too.I never installed the visor because it`s louvered and it needed cut into them to clear the cab lights.

You could see my wrecker in the background with another style fiberglass visor. It was made to look like a part of the body, kinda sorta.
