4/6 drop 20" wheels tire size and actual size

I am really wondering what is the actual brand, size and actual overall height of each of the tires front and back with those running a 4/6 drop.
I am going to do a 4/6 drop with 20" wheels and a 255 front and 285 rear. Going to try for a 45 series tire but it may be to tall. This way actual tire size and actual tire height might help make my decision between brands and actual size.
Of course a pic is cool if you want too.

you are still going to have in consistancies in the exact size. with the size say online they measure the tires mounted on a wheel. i can put my 255/35/20 on any wheel 8.5 to 10" wide not saying that i would but you can. and that will give you differences in height and width. different brands will give different sizes, some are casing size diff. and some are measured on diff width wheels. you can do the math and find out what tire size measures what and get an idea. hope this some what helps.

right. but if i know your drop, tire size, and actual size i can take an actual size and compare brands by actual tire size to see what works and what does not.

I want to run a good size tire on the rear and not rub in the front. I think in the rear you will be able to run a 30" tall tire no problem with a 6" drop. On the front i think youll need to stay closer to 29.5 with optimum rim spacing.

That is kind of my take on what I have been finding. a 4/6 drop could handle a 28.5" tire in the front. Makes sense with your 5" drop your clearing a 27" tall tire. .

Re: 4/6 drop 20" wheels tire size and actual size

i can find this tire in a 245/40-20 for the front
Falken Azenis ST-115

For the rear it is a 295/40-20

Falken Ziex S/TZ01

THis front tire measures 27.7" tall and is 9.6" wide on a 8.5" rim

The rear tire is 29.3" tall and is 11.9" wide on a 10.5" rim

What do you think? It is not easy to find tires in these sizes. I would want to run the largest possible tire from and rear while keeping overall circumference close to each other. maybe a little larger on the rear

Re: 4/6 drop 20" wheels tire size and actual size

My 245/40-20's measure 27" tall. I think a 28.5" tire would be too tall.
The key will be using a wheel with the correct backspacing to "tuck" the rim.

Re: 4/6 drop 20" wheels tire size and actual size

245/40/20 front and 295/40/20 rear took those wheels and tires and put them on the truck before I sold it. That was about a 4/6 drop.
