283 rebuilder in NC?

Looking to get a 283 rebuilt, application would be a pump gas, daily driver with a little extra power. Any recommendations in Winston-Salem\Greensboro\Charlotte, NC area?

Thanks!

Re: 283 rebuilder in NC?

.. hate to see a lonesome post w/no response on Christmas Eve
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Unless I was doing a numbers match restoration I'd be reluctant to spend the money on rebuilding a 283. A crate 350 with a guarantee might be a good choice. Probably for comparable money spent you get a little extra reliable pump gas power..... 67CU.IN. more displacement. Cosmetically you can make the new engine look pretty original if you want to.
I know it's not a good response to your request and you probably have a good reason for wanting your 283 rebuilt.

Re: 283 rebuilder in NC?

I though NC had more engine shops than any other state in the country.
