Little brown truck dropped off a...

WOOO HOOOOO...I think Tim Allen was right. In one of his older stand up bits, he said a man gets more excited over the sound of the little brown truck ( ) than anything else in a normal day to day life.
Well, I hear the truck from a block away and went running out to greet the friendly (NOT) driver, turned out, he was not there yet so i stood in the road waiting for him.
Anyyy hooooo, I got me a 67/68 steering wheel for the Longhorn. All I need to do is fill a couple cracks, paint it, and come up with a horn button retaining ring, and I'll be set.
..............................JUNK YARD TIP!!!!!!! ................................
I discovered that the 67/68 steering wheel was used in the larger trucks up till AT LEAST '76. We have a '76 C/70 Fire Truck in the shop, and not only the wheel is the same, but the pedal pads, and gas pedal, and the back window looks just like the 67 small window too.

Thumbs up

smitty62, yep, from NC to Oh...got it at about 6 o'clock.
By the way everyone, I do recomend smitty62 if he has something up for grabs, even though he made no $$ off of this, he got it boxed and out the door in awsome time. My money order took longer to get there than the box getting here.

Hehe, gotta love delivery trucks...in the past two days, I've had four! Yesterday, all three came by - FedEx with some computer parts, UPS with my Vortec kit, and USPS with my wide-angle camera lens...today, UPS came back with my MP3 deck

Why not in the shower? The worst part about wet sanding something like that is all the sanded sludge getting all over you...

I'm guessing that you're asking a serious question... so, aside from it being a very strange thing to wet sand in the shower, I thought that the way you said it was funny... "I think I'll wet-sand it in the shower tonight." That made me think of something that might be done (to "it") in the shower that would be completely unrelated to working on a steering wheel.
