Here is a youtube link to the new BK rib sandwich comercial. It has a stepside begining at 5 second mark.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

My wife had sent a link for me to watch on YouTube. While I was there, I got the urge to watch/listen to some old country music. It just so happened that I came across this old Mark Chesnutt tune which offers a glimpse of a '64-66 Chevy C-10 fleetside at the beginning of the video.

Well it isn't a movie but have you seen the new Burger King commercial with the '60's truck sitting outside the barn?

In the Longmire series the owner of the Red Pony bar drives a green mid-50 chevy - BTW I watched all 10 episodes on Netflix and got really hooked. Katee is ONE cute deputy.

Re: 60-66's in the movies

Just saw this on a Facebook group my cousin started. It's a still shot from the movie Two-Lane Blacktop, & the pic is at the old Lakeland Drag Strip in the Memphis area.

If you look in the background to the left, you can see a '60-66:

Re: 60-66's in the movies

After Annette Funicello ( Mickey mouse club and surf movie fame )died. Flipping the channels I caught a few nice trucks including a stageway limo. The movie was a surf/ drag strip one with a monkey costumed person and was sped up during the chase scenes. Interesting and strange at the same time. I wonder if the drugs those days had something to do with it.

I can't remember the guys name who was also in it. I know they did a bunch of surf movies together. That's before my time, I wasn't even born yet.

Funny, not many people know of this movie. THe movie shows several long scenes with the '66, not just 1 or 2 sec short clips.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6i6HVVQQO4

Re: 60-66's in the movies

I walked into the TV room to see what the wife was up to and on the TV there's a gold C10 custom cab, of course I start jumping around like a kid on a sugar high. It's a show called "Pretty Little Liars" and the guy who drives the truck is a semi regular and the truck was shown several more times during the show, both interior and exterior.

I know it's not a movie, but on Breaking Bad's final season, Walter White bought a 64-66 Stepside off an elderly American Indian. Then in the episode he showed it's power by backing into Skylar's car and pushing it out of the way.

My house mate always laugh at me when I rewind the TV show I'm watching (TiVo) in order to show him a 60-66 pickup. He is always surprised at how easily I notice them.
