Manual steering box

Gents,
Does anyone know of a rebuild kit for a manual steering box available? My steering box has tons of play and would like to rebuild it if possible. I have done a few searches online but have not really found much. I want to maintain the manual steering for sentimental reasons or else I would go power. Thanks!

Re: Manual steering box

There's not much to a manual box. I had a bearing break in mine on the way to work in 1993. The local GMC dealer had the bearing in stock. lol

I took it apart today and it is really simple. I guess I just need to check around and see what I can find.

Re: Manual steering box

There are a couple of adjustments you can make to take some of the slack out. There is a set screw on top loosen it and take the allen head screw clockwise about 1/4 turn try it and see if it helps do it in small increments.
