Re: New to this

I am now looking for the boot that goes on the bell housing around the clutch fork (3 speed on the tree). What are the recomendations on a clutch for this truck? I am also looking for a new tie rod (not the ends) mine is bent (thinking of manufacturing my own). I can't find any on the internet.

Re: New to this

The main tie rod that runs from wheel to wheel is often bent on these 4X4's because people hook a chain on them. The aren't reproduced. Take it off and straighten it carefully with a sledge and some 2 by 4's. It is a heavy hollow tube. You can check straightening progress by rolling on a flat surface.

Re: New to this

I bought a rust free tub.
Make me an offer on the green tub above. I would concider it in all right condition. the doors closed and latched fine. it does have holes in the tortion boxes and some holes in the floor that looks like they have been rivit patched and undercoated. the doors have a little rust on the bottom. all the guts are there on the doors. I am keeping the front. make me some offers.
